The personal data provided by the users through the forms of the Platform will be used for the following purposes:

  • To attend to the consultations and suggestions of the users through the means of contact of the Platform, on the basis of the express consent of the user.
  • To manage the registration on the Platform as well as the registration for the online courses of our catalogue, (hereinafter a “Course” or the “Courses”). All the Courses offered are the property of Exponential Education, and the basis for processing is the consent of the user.
  • To control access by users (including data subjects) to the Platform and the Courses, as well as to give them access to the various services provided on the Platform, the basis for processing will be the legitimate interest of Exponential Education.
  • To send information of projects, services or events organised or participated by Exponential Education, unless otherwise indicated or that the data subject exercises his/her right to object to the sending of such information through bpdd@52.213.15.83. The basis for processing will be the legitimate interest of Exponential Education.
  • To provide information on Exponential Education activities and services related to the user’s preferences and search interests, with the express consent of the user as the basis for processing.
  • To carry out quality and satisfaction surveys concerning the Platform and its catalogue of services to optimise and make modifications on the service. The basis for processing will be the legitimate interest of Exponential Education.

The categories of data to be processed will be determined, in each case, according to the type of user’s profile (student or teacher profile), the specific Course in which the user is registered, and the authorisations held by each profile. Such data may include, by way of example:

  • Identification data: name, surname, ID.
  • Personal characteristics: date of birth, nationality.
  • Contact details: e-mail address, postal address, telephone number.
  • Academic data.
  • Bank details.
  • Professional data: curriculum vitae, professional experience.

All personal data requested are mandatory unless expressly stated otherwise so that the refusal to provide them will result in the impossibility of providing the service.

Browsing through the Platform is allowed to people over 14 years of age, however, registration is only for people over 18. If you are under 18 years old you are expressly prohibited from registering on the Platform.

We reserve the right to ask users for any information (e.g. a copy of his/her ID card) that we deem appropriate to verify the age of the user, as well as to delete or deactivate any account of a minor or of a user who fails to provide the requested documentation within the time limits established in the request.

 

  1. For how long will we process your personal data?

Exponential Education will keep users’ personal data only for as long as is necessary to carry out the purposes for which they were collected or until the consent allowing its processing is withdrawn. Subsequently, if necessary, Exponential Education may keep the information blocked for the legally established periods.

Exponential Education has implemented the necessary technical and organisational measures to guarantee the security of your personal data and to prevent its alteration, loss, or unauthorised access or processing, taking into account the state of the art, the nature of the data and the risks to which it is exposed.
